Know what’s so funny about this? How the blue-eyed White folks know this is an exercise (as in not real life!) and can’t stand taking the shit people of color deal with for a couple of hours before they’re screaming and crying and storming off. They know it’s fake, and they still can’t deal!

She’s been doing these social experiments for YEARS. With children and college students and adults and it’s amazing.

They need to do this in every class everywhere.

Pardon me, but isn’t teaching someone to always shut up because they are of a specific skin-colour/religion/gender/social status etc just as wrong?

Would be actually teaching to judge people by what they actually DO instead of the ‘group/stereotype/etc’ they ‘can’ be sorted into be much better? I don’t see that being done here.

Say what? She is clearly showing how people of color are CONSISTENTLY gaslighted by white people into believing that there is nothing wrong with the system we live in. And no, this woman is making BLUNT what white people CONSISTENTLY DO ON A REGULAR BASIS AND THINK ITS OKAY.

She does not give a single fuck about white people’s whine. NONE.

So, declaring a skin-colour all-evil is a good thing?

(To clarify: Not talking about the video ITSELF, but of what I see so (too) many people make of it. Namely declaring all whites evil, stuck-up, racist etc. Why, people, why?)

Clearly you aren’t getting the message. I’m not going to waste my time, because you have it in your head that this video = making all white people evil.

Getting the message just fine. But I also see what the internet tends to MAKE of things like that. Sadly. Seriously, try posting anything about the topic such as that on the net. You won’t be judged by what you say, but by your skincolour/sexuality/religion etc. It won’t matter how right or how wrong your statement is. It won’t matter how well intended you were.

People will always go and twist tings around to make you look back, whiny, bitchy, racist, sexist, etc.

That is what bugs me.

I’m going to call BULLSHIT on that bolded part, mainly because of the fact that when people got privilege based on their skin color/sexuality/etc, they will INJECT themselves into conversations that hey had NO FUCKING BUSINESS being in. And then want to get mad when the folks who they forced themselves on tell them to shut the fuck up. It doesn’t matter the intention. White people coming in and crying their white tears about how some black person told them they couldn’t dance, so they know what racism is? Bullshit. Straight people coming in crying because someone from the LGBT community called them a breeder? BULLSHIT. Able bodied people whinging about how they sprained their ankle once so they know what it’s like? BULLSHIT.

And then they have the nerve to cry and say they were “so mean!!” so quickly after they DEMANDED to be educated? Fuck that noise. I will OPENLY MOCK EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THESE JACKASSES. Not. One. Fuck. Will. Be. Given.
